Geek Out About Photography
Being a photographer means that you don’t always get photos of yourself or photos with your little ones. So having a friend who is also a photographer is awesome. I first met Ally (Alison Armstrong Photography) about 5 years ago at a photography convention at Sprowston Manor in Norwich. We had both turned up on our own and headed to one of the seminars. I spotted Ally sitting on her own and thought she looked friendly and so went and sat with her. And so that was that, the start of a fantastic friendship. Someone we could both geek out with about photography.
We’ve done a lot together over the years. We have been to SWPP convention in London (The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers) a couple of times, where Ally bought far too many newborn props 😉 We’ve worked together shooting a wedding. And we have met up countless times to photograph each other and our little dudes too.
So here are few photos of the lovely Alison…
Eaton Park in Norwich is a fantastic location for photos, so many different backdrops including the Rotunda, the Lily pond and Rose garden. It also has yummy ice cream, which of course has to be tested during the summer time visits.

Ally is seriously hard core. Determined to get some maternity photos before Logan arrived, she braved the cold in March 2018 (in a very thin piece of material and bare feet) at Salhouse Broad. I, on the other hand was wearing boots, a thick coat and scarf (very sensible). We did get the shots, totally worth it.

Whitlingham Country Park, another beautiful place for photos. After our two had had their naps in the pushchairs walking round the lake, we stopped at the ruins near the café. The autumn colours were almost unbelievable. The most bright, and stunning yellow leaves created a tunnel of leafy goldenness. A photographers dream.
